Privacy Policy
Your routines are nobody else's business.
Again is built on a simple principle: your daily habits stay on your device, always. No servers receive your data. No analytics tools report on your behaviour. The app works in airplane mode because it was designed to.
Effective date: September 18, 2026
Overview
Again: Daily Checklist is a local-first iPhone app. Every piece of data you create — your checklist items, their order, completion records, settings, and reminder preferences — lives exclusively on your device in iOS local storage. Nothing is transmitted to Again, to any third-party service, or to any server unless you explicitly choose to export or share it yourself.
Again contains no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting services that phone home, no advertising networks, and no behavioural tracking of any kind.
What the app stores locally
All of the following is stored only on your device:
- Your checklist items — titles and the time-of-day category (Anytime, Morning, Afternoon, or Evening) you assign them.
- Completion records — which items were crossed off for each stored logical date.
- Item order — the arrangement you have set, which persists across daily resets and app launches.
- Day-start preference — the hour at which your day is considered to begin for reset purposes.
- Appearance settings — your chosen colour accent, light/dark mode preference, and any text-size overrides.
- Reminder configuration — whether daily reminders are enabled and, if so, the scheduled time.
- Profile image — if you select a photo for your profile, it is stored locally on your device only.
- Export/backup files — if you use the JSON backup feature, the file is created locally and shared only via iOS Share Sheet to a destination you choose.
What Again does not store or collect
- No account, login, or personal identity information is ever required or requested.
- No data is sent to Again's servers — Again has no servers that receive user data.
- No analytics or behavioural data is collected. There are no third-party analytics SDKs.
- No advertising identifiers or tracking pixels.
- No crash logs that include user-generated content are sent externally.
- No device identifiers beyond what iOS makes available locally.
- No purchase or payment data — Again is a free app; there are no in-app purchases.
Device permissions
Again requests device permissions only when a feature that requires them is explicitly enabled by you. It does not request permissions upfront or in a way that implies a consequence for declining.
- Notifications — permission is requested only when you turn on the daily reminder option in Settings. If you decline or later revoke access, the rest of the app continues to function fully.
- Photo library — access is requested only if you choose to set a profile image. Again does not access your photo library in the background and does not request camera permission.
You can review and revoke permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
Backups and exports
Again offers a JSON backup and restore feature. When you create a backup, the file is generated locally on your device and presented through the iOS Share Sheet. You choose where to save or send it — iCloud Drive, AirDrop, email, or any other destination — and Again has no visibility into or access to that choice.
A backup includes checklist items, completion records, and app settings. It does not include your locally stored profile image. If you share a backup file, its contents will leave your device and travel to the destination you selected. Again is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services you choose to save or send files to.
iCloud device backups made by iOS may include app data as part of iOS's standard backup mechanism. That backup process is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not this one.
Retention and deletion
Your data remains on your device for as long as the app is installed or until you change or delete it within the app. You can delete individual checklist items, remove your profile image, and change settings through the app's interface.
Deleting Again from your iPhone will remove the app and its local container. iOS may retain app data in device backups or iCloud backups depending on your iOS backup settings; manage those in iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud.
Website analytics
The Again app does not use analytics. Separately, this marketing website may use Replit-hosted analytics to understand website visits, basic browser and device information, and which sections visitors spend time viewing.
Custom section events contain fixed section names and elapsed viewing time. They do not include task names, notes, or anything you type into the demo, and they are not connected to the data stored locally in your Again app. Section timing pauses when the tab is hidden or after a minute without interaction.
Policy changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at againdailycrossoff.com/privacy with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
